Faculty Chairs and Named Professorships (subject file)

Denison has several named Chair positions which have been generously funded over the years.  This folder contains a complete listing of the chairs (as of 1994) along with historical background and the names of those who occupied the positions.  Also included is correspondence regarding the "current" status of various positions in the 1970's and 80's.

Folder contains a listing of the named professorships and endowed chairs along with a chronology of their creation and the names and dates of those who've held the position.  Also contained are handwritten research notes on the chairs, correspondence from the 70's and 80's regarding the status of the chairs and a press release from 1978 announcing some positions.
