Description:
Choirs have been a part of Denison culture since the 1800's, including the Granville Female Seminary. This long-standing emphasis has been continue by The Concert Choir, Denison's longest-lived musical organization, founded by Otto Engwerson in 1893 and originally called The Schubert Choral Union. This group was founded to create a meeting place for those who were interested in music but were unable to devote themselves to achieving more difficult musical techniques.
