Scope and Contents: This series includes services that used to fall under the "Office of the Dean of Students" which is also known to be called "Office of Student Life" and the subsequent programs and office that fall under that organization, such as "Campus Leadership and Involvement Center (CLIC)." The first sub-series includes an alphabetical list of office and administrative subject files through c. 2011. In 2023, additional materials were added and the series was re-arranged to reflect multiple sub-series that covered areas such as Orientation, First year program, and CLIC.
Because of the change in the organizational structure, there are many other areas in the Archives collection where these topics may also be addressed. Additionally, over the past 50 years, some of the language has changed (and continues to change) in regards to office names, departments, roles, and student service areas. For example, the Dean of Students eventually evolved into the Vice-President for Student Development with multiple Assistant Vice-President, Director, and Dean roles.
