Scope and Contents of the Materials
This collection deals with Herbert Ogden Waters, Denison University class of 1926 and wood engraving/printmaking artist. The materials were donated by Elizabeth Wilbur Cressey. This collection contains letters written by Herbert and his wife Bertha to Paul and Elizabeth Cressey between the 1920s and 1990s. There are many Christmas cards from this same time period, printed with Herbert Water's artwork. Several separate pieces of artwork are in this collection, including two watercolors. There are also original woodcuts held in the Denison University Art Gallery. Additionally, the collection contains articles about Herbert Water's life and his artwork.
