[Back to Formatted Version]
Brief Description:

The collecting goal for the artists' books collection is to foster the study of the book as a contemporary artifact, both as a physical object and as a reflection of modern culture.  Artists' books are visually intriguing and challenge readers by incorporating meaning through formats, images, typography, and overall design.  Artists' books may be a unique item or may be published in a limited edition. The collection includes signed and numbered copies along with commercially published artists' books. Books describing artists' books or about making artists' books may also be included in this collection.

This finding aid contains images and descriptions of the artists' book collection in order to facilitate internal and external discovery of the materials.
